This photograph shows an older gentleman walking with his dog in Nice, a quaint seaside town in the south of France. Notice the dog was not on a leash. It wasn't necessary as it seemed to be a daily pilgrimage. Both were very familiar with the route. The photography shows an ordinary journey juxtaposed against an extraordinary sculpture. The monument is a tribute to those who died in the war. It protrudes out of the mountain and into our consciousness as if to say, "Dare ye forget." This is one of two images paired with the reflection entitled, "You Can Not Miss It" in Soul Work: Excerpts From My Journey.
